  • Use the “WiiM Home” app to set up the WiiM Mini Airplay2.
  • WiiM warranties this product for 1-year. When purchased through HTD, we extend this to our standard electronics warranty of 2-years.

When using the WiiM Mini with one of our whole-house audio systems or amplifiers, there are some settings within the Wiim Home App that will ensure the best possible experience.

In order for you to proceed, make sure that you have connected your WiiM Mini to your home network and completed the initial setup within the WiiM Home App.

  1. If it is not already open, Open the WiiM Home App.
  2. Tap on the gear icon in the lower right-hand corner for the device you wish to apply these settings.
  3. From the menu, select “Audio Settings”.
  4. Toggle the switch for the “Fixed Volume Output” so that it is activated (toggle appears blue when activated).
  5. Tap on the “Aux Out Level”.
  6. Press on “1 Vrms”. The green check mark will indicate that 1 Vrms is selected.
  7. Tap on the back arrow (top left).
  8. In this menu, confirm that “Fixed Volume Output” is activated (blue) and that “Aux Out Level” is set to 1 Vrms.
  9. Tap on the back arrow (top left).
  10. Tap on the back arrow again (top left).
  11. You should now see that the volume slider for this WiiM device has a lock symbol next to it and you can no longer adjust the volume for this device.

Repeat these steps on your other WiiM devices if you have multiple devices.

We change the “Aux Out level” from 2 Vrms setting to 1 Vrms because the 2 Vrms setting is only necessary to use when you have an audio device that needs extra voltage to achieve the desired volume output. HTD whole house audio systems do not need more than 1 Vrms to achieve desirable volume levels. Adjusting the “Aux Out level” also ensures that you do not get distorted audio from your home’s speakers.

We set the volume to a “Fixed Volume Output” to ensure that the WiiM is always sending the strongest audio signal into your whole house audio system for the best quality sound. It also hinders someone from accidentally turning down the volume on the WiiM device, which could cause very low volume output to your whole house audio system.

If you have any questions, please contact HTD, and we will be more than happy to assist you.
