We offer quality speaker cables at half the price of our competition by selling direct to consumers. Make no mistake, our prices are low only because we don't sell through distributors and mass retailers and because we don't employ a monsterously large marketing campaign.
The technology behind great speaker cable is fairly straightforward- the best way to send an audio signal from one point to another with minimal signal loss requires: (1) high grade 99.99% Oxygen Free Copper, (2) an appropriate thickness or gauge, and (3) a high number of individual strands of wire to make up each conductor. All HTD speaker cables include these features.
Warning: Be careful not to buy inferior Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA) often sold as “copper” cable. HTD speaker cable is 99.99% Oxygen Free Copper (OFC). OFC has lower resistance and higher conductivity than CCA. When connecting CCA to binding posts and banana plugs, you are almost certain to breach the thin “cooper clad” and hit the aluminum. CCA is also significantly more likely to develop oxidation at connection points.
