Introducing Cinema Series!
NEW! For more than 25 years, HTD has been passionate about building speakers that bring movies, music, and television to life. Our designs have included everything from compact "middy" speakers to large floor-standing towers. But today’s home theaters look different and put a premium on space savings and clean design. Your speakers should too.
Cinema Series brings true theater performance into the home without sacrificing space or style. The lineup includes five sleek, wall‑mounted designs, all sharing a common voice. Choose from two powered subwoofers to complete a refined system with immersive impact and reference‑level dynamics.
Cinema LCR1 is the perfect choice for the front Left, Center, and Right (LCR) channels in most family rooms and mid-sized dedicated theaters. For larger theaters where higher output is essential, step up to Cinema LCR2.
Cinema W1 can be used in the LCR positions but is best reserved for small to mid-sized rooms. While three Cinema W1 can create a wider soundstage, Cinema W3 provides a more streamlined aesthetic. Cinema W2 is intended primarily for stereo applications.
For surround locations (sides and rear), use Cinema W1, LCR1, or LCR2 depending on room size. For Atmos, mount Cinema W1 to the ceiling with a special bracket sold separately. Read more below.

Design Philosophy
Cinema Series speakers are purpose-built for high-performance home theater. Five timbre-matched models deliver clean, dynamic output at reference levels, each in a size and shape suited for wall mounting. Complimenting them are two powered subwoofer options that reproduce the lowest frequencies, completing the full-range impact heard in your room and freeing the main speakers to deliver precise mid and high-frequency detail at both low and high volumes.
Premium drivers and precision crossovers are housed in dense, ported MDF enclosures that minimize resonance and vibration, further preserving clarity and transient detail. Cabinets are finished with a gorgeous mid-gloss white or black.
The result is a family of speakers that delivers an uncompromised home theater experience in a form factor that fits beautifully in today's living spaces.

Definitions
"timbre-matched" – [pronounced TAM-ber] refers to a close tonal character of different speakers in a system. Timbre is the unique “color” or quality of a sound—what makes a violin sound different from a flute even when playing the same note. In home theater, timbre-matched speakers reproduce voices and instruments with consistent tonal balance across all channels. This ensures that sounds move smoothly and naturally from one speaker to another. Poor timbre-matching can make dialogue or effects sound uneven or disconnected as they pan across the room.“transient detail” – refers to how accurately a speaker reproduces very short, fast changes in sound—such as the attack of a drum hit, the pluck of a guitar string, or the initial consonants in speech. These are called transients, and they happen in milliseconds. If a speaker handles transients well, those quick bursts of energy sound crisp and lifelike rather than smeared or dull. Poor transient response often comes from cabinet resonance, slow drivers, or poorly designed crossovers, which blur these details and make the sound less precise.
"reference level" – for home theaters, it refers to a standardized volume level that reproduces movie soundtracks with the same clarity, balance, and dynamic impact intended by the filmmakers.
