2-5 Year Warranty
All HTD speakers carry a FIVE YEAR WARRANTY on both parts and labor. All HTD electronics, including our whole-house audio products and subwoofer amplifiers, carry a TWO YEAR WARRANTY on both parts and labor. Warranty resides with the original purchaser and is not transferable.
Should your HTD speaker or component fail to operate properly at any time during the warranty period, HTD will repair or replace (at our option) the item barring any indication of misuse or abuse. Normal "wear and tear", including aesthetic issues such as color-fading, are not covered under warranty. Freight to an HTD authorized facility is paid by the customer. Return freight is paid by HTD. Please note that for international shipments, any customs charges, duties, or taxes are still the responsibility of the customer.
Warranty registration occurs automatically at the time your order is placed. There is no need to complete or mail in additional paperwork. Prior to returning any merchandise to HTD, please call toll free 866-483-2834 or local 972-312-9900 or complete our Contact HTD form to obtain a return authorization number and complete instructions.
"Real Warranty"
Why do we call our Warranty a "REAL" warranty? With a typical warranty, you have to complete and mail in a bunch of paperwork to the manufacturer of each of the items you purchased. You also have to maintain your original receipt and remember the terms of the warranty. Then, if an item does require warranty repair, what do you do, who do you call? In most cases, you are instructed to contact the store at which you originally purchased the item. They (hopefully) put you in touch with the manufacturer who then verifies all of your information and then instructs you where to send the item for repair- and this is often NOT the manufacturer themselves. Once the problem is diagnosed, these repair shops often have to special order the necessary components. This means a long wait before the item gets back to you. All we can say is "good luck!"
In contrast, because you are buying directly from us, the manufacturer, there is no need to complete additional paperwork or maintain receipts. We already know exactly what you bought, when you bought it, and what you paid for it. A simple call or email to us is all that is required to get your item repaired or replaced under warranty. You ship the item to us, we repair or replace the item ourselves, and then we pay the return shipping to get it back to you. That's all there is to it- it's hassle free, fast, and you know the job's been done right.
