HTD Google Home Syntax
Use the following phrases to control your system by voice, or when setting up Google Home Routines. Routines can be created to make the language you speak more natural sounding and to issue commands automatically based on a schedule or triggered event. But out-of-the-box, and whenever creating Google Home Routines, it's important that you follow our Google Syntax exactly.
Zone names, source names, system name, and preset names are all derived from the same names displayed in the HTD Home Audio App:
[Zone Name] = the zone name "as it appears on THIS DEVICE"
Examples: Kitchen, Zone 5, Master Bedroom, Outdoors, etc. *Zone Names must be unique across all HTD home audio systems linked to your Google Home account. This allows multiple systems to be controlled seamlessly via Google Home.
[Source Name] = the source "Name displayed on this device"
Examples: Streamer 2, Sonos Port, Patio TV, Turntable, Dot 4, etc. *All names should be easy for both you and Google Home to pronounce, i.e. consider changing your "Wiim Pro" streamer to "Whim Pro" ;).
[System Name] = the name you gave to your system
Examples: My House (default), My Home, Lake House, Upstairs, Outdoors, etc.
[Preset Name] = the name you assigned to a Preset. You can create as many Presets as you'd like.
Examples: Party, Every Day, End of Day, Entertain, etc.
