Keep your custom zone names, source names, groups, and presets. The "Backup" feature in the app saves your custom settings in our free cloud based on the MAC address of your gateway. Follow these instructions to replace your old MAC address with the MAC address displayed on the bottom of your new gateway.
If you don't follow these steps, the new MAC address will require you to start over with new zone names, source names, groups, and presets.

Steps to Replace a Gateway:
- Before removing the old gateway, go into System Settings in the HTD Home Audio app and click on Backup 1 or Backup 2 to save your current configuration to our free cloud. While in Systems Settings, write down the MAC Address (Gateway ID) of the old gateway. You will need this for Step 6.
- Tap on the 'hamburger' menu in the upper left corner, then tap on “Home” near the lower left. Click on “Stored Systems” and swipe left to delete the old system name.
- Disconnect the old gateway and connect the new gateway following the instructions in the HTD Home Audio app manual.
- Open the HTD Home Audio app and wait for it to discover the new gateway and then tap on it to join. You will be prompted to give your system a name and then tap “OK”.
- Go to “System Settings” and, if prompted, enter the 4 digit unlock code. Scroll down and tap on “REPLACE” next to “Replace Old Gateway”. Enter the same phone number here that you used when you created the backup with the old gateway in Step 1. Enter the MAC address of the OLD gateway that you wrote down in Step 1, and tap confirm. You should receive a message confirming the MAC address was successfully updated.
- In System Settings, tap to RESTORE the profile you backed up in Step 1. Your custom zone names, source names, groups, and presets will be pulled into the app.
