QS50 Outdoor Stereo Speaker EACH

The QS50 is built around a dual voice coil 5.25" polypropylene driver with a butyl rubber surround. The second order (12dB/12dB) crossover blends the mid and low frequencies seamlessly to the high frequency PEI tweeters. Both components are well-suited for life in a harsh outdoor environment. Speaker cable connections are made via insulated gold-plated 5-way binding posts.

The cabinet is made of a thick, resonant-absorbing, mineral-filled polymer that is primed and then coated in UV protected paint. This cabinet material offers a significant improvement in tone compared with outdoor speaker cabinets that are typically made of ABS plastic. ABS is a "hard" plastic that tends to vibrate at certain frequencies making the speaker sound hollow and muddy, especially in the mid-range. In contrast, our softer mineral-filled polymer has almost no cabinet resonance allowing the components to perform to their full potential.

The grille is powder-coated aluminum and even the exposed hardware is stainless steel to ensure your outdoor speakers withstand the elements and look and sound great for years to come. Powder-coated metal mounting brackets and hardware are included. Optional ball-and-socket brackets sold separately.
