The Home Audio app allows you to add shortcuts to popular audio apps.

If you've connected a music streamer to your system, you'll benefit from adding shortcut buttons from a list of 40+ popular music services and apps. Shortcuts make it easy to toggle between what you want to hear and where you want to hear it.

Below is a list of the app shortcuts already available. If you’d like to recommend an app not on this list, send an email to apps@htd.com.

Note: Shortcuts will only open an app that is already downloaded to your phone or tablet.

Make Your Own Shortcut!

The Home Audio app allows you to make as many custom shortcuts as you’d like. Simply provide your own image for the shortcut icon and enter a key ingredient called a URI. An app’s “Uniform Resource Identifier” is a unique string of characters that identifies the app. It is sometimes referred to as the "app URL".

Not every app has a published URI, but most do and some are easy to guess, e.g. most Apple apps tend to follow the pattern app name://.   Example: the URI for iBooks is ibooks://. If you can't find the URI and the developer of the app does not respond to you with it, send an email to apps@htd.com and we'll look into it for you.

To make your own shortcut, select “Make One” from the list of existing app shortcuts. Then, follow these steps:

• Press the “+” icon to upload an image of your choosing
• Enter your own "Shortcut name" for the app (keep it short)
• Enter the URI
• Click “Add”
