This adapter is necessary to allow the IRP wall-mounted infra-red receiving eye to connect to the 3.5mm IR Input on the back of the MC-66 and MCA-66 central controllers.
This adapter is not needed with the Lync 6 or Lync 12 which include a 3-pin connector for the IRP.
