BTX Bluetooth Receiver and Audio Extension Kit

SKU BTX

New! Install the Decora-style Bluetooth receiver in one location and use a Cat 5 (or better) cable to connect it to the power injector/audio output box located near your whole-house audio equipment up to 240 feet away. Use an RCA patch cable to connect the audio output to your controller or amplifier.

Now, wirelessly pair a Bluetooth device (phone, Google Nest Mini, Echo Dot, etc.) to the Bluetooth receiver to hear it in any room in the house.

Includes a UL-approved 24V power supply and stereo RCA patch cable.

Please note that this extension kit extends the stereo audio output, not the range of Bluetooth, which is still around 10 meters (30 feet).

Best uses:

  • Connect to a Whole House Audio system. Run a single Cat cable from your centralized system to every location in which you'd like to install a BTX Bluetooth Receiver. Consider using the multi-channel amplifier DMA-1240ADS or stereo amplifier PLA-240ADS to amplify the speakers in those zones if you'd like the BTX to automatically take priority over whatever source is currently playing within a zone.
  • Connect to your home theater receiver or stereo receiver. The BTX Bluetooth Receiver becomes another source you can select on your receiver. Your voice assistant's streaming audio and voice is then heard with the full power and acoustics of your existing speakers.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS SOLUTION REQUIRES THAT YOU PAIR A DEVICE OVER BLUETOOTH. IF YOUR AMAZON ALEXA OR GOOGLE HOME DEVICE INCLUDES A SPEAKER, IT WILL BE DISABLED AND YOU WILL ONLY HEAR THE AUDIO SIGNAL ON THE SYSTEM TO WHICH YOU HAVE CONNECTED A CABLE FROM THE “AUDIO OUT”.

PLEASE NOTE: IF BUZZING IS HEARD, MAKE SURE THE CAT CABLE IS FULLY INSERTED IN THE RJ45 PORTS LOCATED ON THE BACKSIDE OF THE BTX PANEL AND ADAPTER BOX.
