Need to connect two stereo sources (such as a computer, MP3 player or CD player) in one room to your whole-house audio controller or receiver in another room? Now you can over Cat5 or Cat6 cable using Stereo Baluns by Intelix.
Just connect a source device to a Balun at one end of the Cat5 or Cat6 cable, then connnect your whole-house audio controller or receiver to a Balun at the other end. The signal is sent without noise or electrical interference over a distance up to 1,500 feet.
This external balun does not require in-wall installation. Color is black.
You will need one Balun at each end of the Cat5 or Cat6 cable. You can use two of these external units or you can mix one of these units with other Intelix models.
AVO-A4-F Two-Source Balun Details:
Send two separate stereo line-level signals over a Cat5 or Cat6 Cable - RCA connectors
NOTE: This item is a SINGLE balun. Two baluns are required for use (one at each end of the Cat5 cable.) We sell our baluns as single units so that you have the flexibility to order a mix of in-line or in-wall baluns, as your needs dictate.
This balun (AVO-A4-F) is an in-line, external (NOT in-wall) unit for two separate stereo signals using RCA connectors.
Use baluns when your audio sources are in one room, but the Whole-house Controller, Receiver or Amplifier is in another area (up to 1,500 feet away.)
Connection:
At one end of a dedicated Cat5 or Cat 6 cable:
Connect the Cat5 cable's RJ45 connector into balun #1
Connect a stereo audio cable from balun #1 to both stereo sources
At the other end of the dedicated Cat5 or Cat6 cable:
Connect the Cat5 cable's RJ45 connector into balun #2
Connect a stereo audio cable from balun #2 to your Controller, receiver or amplifier.
The stereo signals are converted for noiseless, lossless transmission over the Cat5 cable, then converted back for amplification as two distinct high-quality signals.
Balun is self-powered, no transformer or external power needed.
