In many of today's installations, audio and video components are hidden behind cabinets or located in a closet. You can still use your Infra-Red (IR) remote controls to control these components with the use of our IR receiving eye (model number IR-RX, sold separately), IR emitters (model number IR-TX, sold separately), and this IR distribution block, model IR-BLOCK.

The IR-RX includes a 5 meter (16 foot) cable with a 3.5mm connector for easy connection to the IR Distribution Block. Connect one IR-RX and up to 6 infra-red emitters (dual or single). Position the IR-RX where it is convenient inside your room (you will aim your IR remote controls at the receiving eye). Place one emitter in front of each component you wish to control. When you aim your IR remote control at the IR-RX, the signal is passed through the IR-BLOCK and on to each component that has en emitter located in front of it.
UL Listed Power Supply: 12V 300mA
IR-RX (receving eye) Connection: (1) 3.5mm
IR-TX (emitter) Connections: (6) 3.5mm
IR frequency: standard 40 kHz
