Use this Infra-Red (IR) receiving eye to receive IR signals from an IR remote control. It connects to the back of our MC-66 or MCA-66 which passes the IR signals to other nearby components (DVD players, cable boxes, etc.) so that your IR components can be located out of sight yet still be controlled.
Note that every KC6 Keypad already includes a built-in IR receiver eye. The IR-RX2 simply gives you an extra location, near the primary equipment, to receive the IR signals.

The IR-RX2 includes a 2 meter (6 foot) cable with a 3.5mm connector for easy connection to our MC-66 or MCA-66 whole-house audio controller.
On the back of the controller (model MC-66 or MCA-66), connect one IR-RX2 and up to 3 infra-red emitters (dual or single, both sold separately). Position the IR-RX2 where it is convenient inside your room. You will aim your IR remote controls at the receiving eye. Place one emitter in front of each component you wish to control via infra-red. When you aim your IR remote control at the IR-RX2 (or any of the KC6 Keypads which include a built-in IR receiving eye), the signal is passed through the controller and on to each component that has en emitter located in front of it.
