Use this Infra-Red (IR) receiving eye to receive IR signals from an IR remote control. It connects to the back of our MC-66 or MCA-66 whole-house audio controllers or to the IR-BLOCK4 distribution block. The eye receives IR signals in one location and passes them to nearby, often hidden, components (DVD players, cable boxes, etc.) so that your IR components can be located out of sight yet still be controlled.
Note that our KC6, KC7, and LyncPad keypads already include a built-in IR receiving eye. When used with a whole-house audio system, the IR-RX2 simply gives you an extra location, near the primary equipment, to receive the IR signals.
